Russian President Vladimir Putin has no doubts that the noble goals on protection of Donbass will be achieved, he said, speaking to the space industry workers at the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
“This is what will happen. There are no doubts. The goals are perfectly clear, they are noble,” Putin underscored. “The main goal is to help the people in Donbass, the people of Donbass, which we have recognized, and we had to do it, because Kiev authorities, encouraged by the West, refused to implement the Minsk Agreements, aimed at peaceful resolution of Donbass’ problems,” the President added.
Putin pointed out that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said it publicly that Kiev “does not like” any clause of the Minsk Agreements, while “other officials stated that the implementation of the Minsk Agreements is impossible.”
“They rejected it publicly. Well, it was simply impossible to continue to tolerate this genocide that was going on for eight years,” the head of state underscored.
Putin praises Russian troops involved in operation in Ukraine
The Russian President went on to say that troops involved in Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine are showing courage, acting in a proper, effective and efficient manner.
When congratulating space industry personnel and all Russians on Cosmonautics Day, the head of state said that he would like to extend special greetings to the troops from the Russian Aerospace Forces. “Today, our officers are taking part in a special military operation in Donbass, in Ukraine. They are providing assistance to the people’s republics of Donbass. They are demonstrating courage, acting in a proper, professional and effective manner, using the most advanced weapons with unique features,” Putin pointed out.
Putin insists Russia’s clash with Ukraine’s neo-Nazi forces was only matter of time
He insisted that the clash with the anti-Russian forces that Ukraine had nurtured was going to inevitably erupt, and it was just a matter of time.
“Ukraine started to morph into an anti-Russian base of operations, began to grow the sprouts of nationalism and neo-Nazism that had been there for a long time,” the head of state pointed out. “Neo-Nazis were deliberately planted there, and Russia’s clash with these forces was inevitable; they were only choosing the right time to attack,” Putin stressed.
The head of state emphasized that subsequent events have shown how deeply neo-Nazi ideas have sprouted in Ukraine. “This is an obvious fact. Neo-Nazism, unfortunately, has become a fact of life in a fairly large country close to us. This is an obvious thing: it was inevitable, it was only a matter of time,” he added.
Putin noted that by achieving the goals of the special military operation, the Russian Federation is helping the people of Donbass, and on the other hand, “taking measures to ensure the security of Russia itself.” “Obviously, we had no other choice, this is correct. And the fact that the goals [of the special operation] will be achieved, there is no doubt about it,” he concluded.
