Putin and Merkel discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation in Moscow next week

Moscow (ST): The Kremlin announced today that Russian President Vladimir Putin will discuss next week with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Moscow a range of international and regional issues of common interest.

The Kremlin press office said in a statement reported by TASS that the talks between the two parties will also touch on the current situation and prospects for bilateral cooperation  in various fields.

German government spokesman Stephen Seibert said earlier that Merkel will visit Moscow on August 20 and will make a trip to Kiev on August 22 to meet with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.
