Putin and Aliyev discuss Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine

On February 26th, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev discussed Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine.

“Presidents Putin and Aliyev discussed in a phone conversation the developments of the situation with regard to the Russian operation in Ukraine and exchanged views on some urgent bilateral and regional issues as a follow-up to their talks in Moscow on February 22,” TASS news agency quoted the Kremlin as saying in a statement.

 

It is noteworthy that Putin had announced on the 24th  of this month the launch of a special operation to defend Donbass, stressing that the circumstances required Russia to take decisive actions.
