Putin and AL- Sisi discuss developments of the situation in Gaza in the light of the continued Israeli aggression 

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi expressed during a phone call on Wednesday their deep concern about the unprecedented increase in civilian casualties in the Gaza Strip as a result of the continued Israeli aggression.

“The two sides expressed deep concern about the unprecedented increase in the number of casualties including  thousands of women and children” A Kremlin said in a statement reported by Russia on Wednesday.

The statement  stressed the principled importance of stopping the bloodshed as quickly as possible, freeing the hostages and providing medical assistance to the civilian population in Gaza Without any hindrance.

President Putin praised Egyptian assistance in evacuating Russian citizens from the Gaza Strip.

Aaccording to the statement, the two presidents stressed the harmony of the countries’ approaches to resolving the situation in the region through the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on a generally recognized international legal basis.

Since last October the 7th , the Gaza Strip has witnessed a brutal Israeli aggression that has left more than 11,320 Palestinian martyrs, including 4,650 children and 3,145 women.

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 70 percent of the victims are children and women, and more than 29,000 other Palestinian citizens have been injured.
