Putin: American forces in Germany are occupation forces

Moscow, (ST) – Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the American forces in Germany, legally and effectively, are occupation forces.

RT website quoted Putin as saying during an interview with the students today: After World War II, Germany was divided into 4 sector; American, British, French and Soviet ones. “Officially and legally, there are American occupation forces on German soil”, Putin added.

Putin pointed out that Europe will regain its sovereignty sooner or later, but it seems that it will take some time.

Putin stressed that the aim of the Russian special military operation is to protect Russia and its population from any threats from the neighboring lands that are its historical lands.

Putin added that the Ukrainian nationalists do not reckon with anything, have barricaded themselves behind civilians and shoot behind their backs.
