Pursuant to the directives of President al-Assad, new electrical equipment and supplies have arrived in Daraa
On November 20th, the Ministry of Electricity sent a convoy of supplies and various electrical equipment to the Governorate of Daraa, with the aim of supporting the electrical network and improving the services of the governorate, which began to witness effective stability after a series of security operations against terrorist groups.
The Governor of Daraa, Eng. Louay Kharita, confirmed that the new electrical equipment and supplies come in accordance with the directives of President Bashar al-Assad to support the governorate.
The convoy includes large-sized towers, anchors, transformers and cables, according to what was explained by the Director General of the General Corporation for Electricity Transmission and Distribution, Eng. Haitham Melea.
Melea said that all these equipment will serve the reliability of the electrical network, and contribute to the reconstruction of what was destroyed by terrorism.
The Daraa Electricity Company’s generalmanager, Hani al-Masalmeh said that the number of transformers received is 3 with a capacity of (200 kVA) for each, in addition to aluminum cables of different sections and iron towers of medium tension.
Al-Masalmeh stressed that the workshops will begin in the coming days to install equipment in cities and towns as required, pointing to the role of equipment in dealing with frequent power outages.
