Public road of Darayya/Moadamiya open with the participation of the Syrian Trust for Development and civil and economic activities
With the participation of the Syrian Trust for Development and civil as well as economic activities, the highway connecting the cities of Darayya and Moadamiya, which was closed for ten years due to sabotage caused by terrorism, has been opened today.
The director of the community in Moadamiyat al-Sham, which is affiliated with the Syrian Trust for Development, Jaafar Wannous, pointed out in a statement that the concerted efforts between the people of Darayya and Moadamiya had a great impact in opening the road, rehabilitating and beautifying it, by providing some of their own mechanisms for transporting dirt and debris, and the participation of others In cleaning, rinsing, sweeping garbage and trimming trees and dry branches, in addition to the support provided by the two local councils in the two cities.
Wannous pointed out that the road contributes to enabling citizens in Moadamiya to obtain their identification papers quickly and easily from Darayya, given the presence of the court, the civil registry and the recruitment division in it.
The road constitutes a vital artery between the two cities, where there are many economic, industrial and commercial activities, and citizens participate in a lot of work that needs to be followed up and completed quickly, as the local council in Darayya provided the necessary mechanisms and workers, to speed up the opening of the road and the removal of dirt and garbage.
Member of the People’s Assembly Hikmat Al-Azab explained that the reopening of the road was attended by all civil and community activities, as it is an important commercial and economic artery between the two cities in which there is a lot of business and exchange of many products, indicating that the next step will focus on rehabilitating the infrastructure of the road, and its pavement while supported by the local community.
A number of citizens noted the reopening of the road and its role in facilitating movement between the two cities which will facilitate access to them.
