Public and private sector companies: “Build It 2023” exhibition is a platform to learn about modern products and technologies
“Build It 2023” Syria Reconstruction Exhibition, in its eighth session, provides the opportunity for companies to showcase their various products, in the field of building, construction and urbanization, and to create competition and networking among them to encourage investment and participation in reconstruction in Syria.
According to the participants, many Arab and foreign companies considered the Reconstruction Exhibition as an important platform and opportunity to learn about their products and expertise, which benefits the possibility of investing and employing their experiences in the reconstruction of areas damaged by the war and earthquake that struck the country.
During SANA correspondent’s tour in the exhibition, Director of Planning and International Cooperation at the General Company for Construction and Development, Engineer Muhammad Khair, noted that the company is showcasing in its pavilion the most important projects it is implementing, which include saving and youth housing, in addition to housing for those affected by the earthquake and other projects. He underlined the importance of the presence of friendly foreign companies and the presentation of different products in the field of construction and insulation increating new ideas in reconstruction.
Head of the pavilion of the General Company for Roads and Bridges, Khaldoun Abu Hassoun, stated that the company is working to implement vital projects related to road restoration and construction, and relies on its internal resources with regard to materials used in construction, and competes with the private sector in this field.
Executive Director of Waad Engineering Construction and Contracting Company, Engineer Shadi Al-Taqi, pointed out that the company, which was founded in 2019, displays what it manufactures with the best modern technologies in the field of construction.
Sales Director at Vitrum Tempered Glass Manufacturing Company, Wissam Al-Hamwi, pointed out that the company is displaying in its pavilion tempered glass broken into granules, which is safer and reduces the rate of damage in the event of breakage, in addition to bonded glass that is used for thermal insulation, and bulletproof glass used in official conference halls.

About 183 local and foreign companies are participating in the exhibition, which is organized by the Al-Bashek Exhibition Foundation, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, on Fairgrounds in the Damascus countryside. It displays techniques and technology used in the field of reconstruction and materials related to building, construction and urbanization.
