PSL: Karama edge out Hutten

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Karama,the powerhouse club of Homs, defeated Hutten 1-0 in the 2014 Professional Soccer League 1st Division 1st round at the Tishreen stadium in Damascus.

The first half ended in a stalemate where both teams squandered so many clear chances .

In the second half,Karama pressurized Hutten defense forcing them to pass back to their goalkeeper in several occasions.

Striker Shaalan Bitar broke the deadlock in the 82nd minute with a close-range shot.

Hutten then tried relentlessly to amend the score but to no avail.

The first round also saw a clash between Musfat Banias and Wathba ended in a goalless draw.

In the 75th minute, referee of the match pointed at the spot, Musfat player Kinan Deeb failed to convert.

It is worth mentioning that 14 teams are participating in this season .And are divided into two groups.
