PSL: Jaish hold Wahda

LATTAKIA, (ST) – Despite their drew with Jaish, Wahda have maintained their lead in the Professional Soccer League 2nd leg 7th round.

The first half ended in a stalemate.

Early in the second half, striker Mahmoud Dumarani put al-Jaish’s side in the lead .Then Wahda relentlessly tried to amend the score till they were able to notch up the equalizer through Rislan Kurdi in the 78th minute.

 

With this draw ,Wahda lift up their tally to 28 points. One point ahead of Jaish.

In other actions, Ittihad suffered another big blow at the hands of Taleeaa as they lost 0-1 at the Bassel stadium in Lattakia.

Ammar Tufaili hit home in the 65th minute.

Unlike the course of the match, Ittihad dominated much of the match and had many occasions to score with the best coming in the 81st minute but an Ittihad striker failed to convert from a close-range.

Hutteen edged out Jazeera 2-1 at the Jableh stadium.

Two minutes into the interval, MohammadJafar put Hutteen in the lead.

Two minutes later, striker Abduilla Suleiman levelled the score for Jazeera.

Hasan Abo Zainab scored Hutteen’s winning goal in the 57th minute.

Points position after the end of the 7th round:

Wahda 28, Jaish 27, Karama 24, Muhafaza 22, Taleeaa 19, Hutteen 17, Ittihad 13, Jazeera 13 and finally Futuwa with only seven points.
