PSL-G B-2nd round results

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Following is a brief account on the Professional Soccer League Group B 2nd round  matches played on Monday in Damascus.

At the Tishreen stadium, Futuwa drew with Jihad 1-0.

The first half ended in a stalemate.

 

Early in the second half, Jihad was about to open the scoring through Jamal Darwish but he failed to convert from a close range.

Futuwa striker Mohammad Abadi broke the deadlock in the 74th minute with a powerful drive just outside the penalty box.

Three minutes later, substitute Omar Ibrahim notched up the equalizer with an individual skills.

Elsewhere, Nidal, newly promoted to first division, held Muhafaza to –a 1-1 draw at the Muhafaza stadium.

Mohammad Yusuf scored for Nidal while Ahmad Kilzi leveled the score for the home team.

Hutteen held Karama to a goalless draw at the Faiha stadium.

Earlier, Wahda beat Musfat Banias  3-1.

Mohammad Hamdkouy, Mahmoud Khadouj and Abdul Hadi Shalha scored for Wahda.
