PSL-Futuwa beat Nidal 2-1

DAMASCUS, (ST) – Futuwa, the Deir ezz-Zour based-club, have edged out Nidal  2-1  in the Professional Soccer League Group B 3rd round at the Tishreen stadium in Damascus.

Early in the first half, striker Ahmad Shintak put Futuwa in the lead. Then Futuwa dominated much of the match .

In the second half, Nidal, the home team, pressurized Futuwa defense line in a bid to level the score but to no avail.

Futuwa, unlike the course of the match, made it 2-0 in the 52nd minute through Mohammad Abadi with a close –range shot after he received a precise cross from Suleiman.

Eight minutes later, Mohammad Shawadri scored the consolation goal for Nidal.

Elsewhere, Musfat Banias beat Muhafaza 2-0 at the Faiha stadium.

Mohammad Rashou  and Ali Khalil scored for Musfat (12,53).

At the Muhafaza stadium, Karama were held to a 1-1 draw with Jihad.
