PSL-6th Round-Shurta edge out Jazeera

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Shurta,the Damascus-based club,have edged out al-Jazeera 3-2  in the men’s Professional Soccer League in a Group A match 6th round at the Faiha Stadium in Damascus.

With this win,Shurta lifted their tally to 11 points .

Veteran player Maher al-Sayed and Mohammad Wakid scored for Shurta while Yunis Suleiman and Rustum Ali scored for al-Jazeera.

It is worth noting that Shurta will leave for Beirut on Monday(Feb.25) to hold a training session.

The training camp is part of Shurta’s preparation for taking on Kuwaiti club al-Qadisiya in the AFC  Cup.

The said match is scheduled on March 6.
