PSL-5th round :Wahda beat Ittihad

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Wahda,the powerhouse club of Damascus, have deservedly won over Ittihad 3-0 at the Faiha stadium in Damascus in the Professional Soccer League Group A 5th round.

Veteran, Maher Sayed, Ali Diab and Osama Omari scored for Wahda .

With this spectacular win,Wahda are now atop of Group A with 10 points while Ittihad moved to fourth place with seven points.

In other actions,Jaish,title holders,were held to a goalless draw with Futuwa at the Tishreen stadium in Damascus.

Jaish are now in third place with seven points while Futuwa are at the bottom of the group with only one point.

At the Jalaa stadium in Damascus,Karama drew with Jazeera 1-1 .

With this draw ,Karama  lifted their tally to six points in par with Jazeera but Karama are ahead of the Hasaka-based team]Jazeera[ in goal difference.

In group B matches,Tishreen beat Omaya 3-1at the Bassel stadium in Lattakia.

Striker HaelBadri put his side in the lead in the 19th minute.Omar Rihawi made it 2-0 in the 47th minute as he successfully managed to hit home from the  penalty spot.

Samer Hamada scored his side’s solo goal in the 75th minute.

Midfielder wrapped up the series of sensational goals for the home team in the 90th minute.

With this result,Tishreen lifted their tally to six points while Omaya remained at the bottom of the group with only one point from five matches.

Nawaeer were held to a goalles draw with Hurria at the sporting complex stadium in Lattakia.

In Jableh,Jihad snatched a precious point from MusfatBanias as they were held to a 1-1 .

Group A:Wahda 10;Taleeaa 8;Jaish 8;Ittihad 7;Karama 6;Jazeera 6;Muhafaza 4;Hutten 3 and finally Futuwa with only one point.

Group B:Shurta 9;Nawaeer 9;Majd 7;Musfat Banias 6;Tishreen 6;Wathba 5;Hurria 5;Jihad 3 and finally Jihad with only one point.
