PSL 5th round Thursday

DAMASCUS,(ST)-Shurta, the Damascus-based club, beat Wathba 2-1 in the Professional Soccer League in the Group B closing round at the Tishreen stadium in Damascus.

With this win, Shurta lifted their tally to 20 points.

In another action, Hurria beat Majd 2-1 at the Faiha stadium only to lift their tally to 12 points.

At the Muhafazastadium, Jihad beat Omaya 2-0 and lift their tally to 13 points.

 

Points position to date-Group B: Shurta 20; Musfat Manias 19; Wathba  in third place with a tally of 16 points ahead of Tishreen on goal difference; Majd 15; Nawaeer 13;Jihad 13<Hurria 12 and finally Omaya with only 11 points.

It is to be noted that the 5th round of the league will be launched tomorrow (Thursday) where Jihad will take on Musfat Banias at the Tishreen stadium while Hurria will go head-to –head with Nawaeer.
