PSL-1st Leg-Shurta beat Wahda 2-0

Shurta  have commenced their campaign  in the Professional Soccer League by winning 2-0 over their  neighboring club al-Wahda at the Tishreen stadium in Damascus.

Shurta broke the deadlock in the 18th minute from a penalty kick successfully converted by midfielder Ammar Zakour.

Wahda then relentlessly tried to amend the score but to no avail.

Mohammad Kneis made it 2-0 in the 90th minute with a close-range shot.

In other matches,Wathba beat al-Jazeera 1-0 while al-Muhafaza defeated Nawaeer 3-1.

It is worth noting that Hurria and Futuwa apologized for non –participation in the 1st week of the league .
