Protests in Homs and Hasakah demanding the lifting of the coercive measures imposed on Syria

On March 2nd, people in Homs and Hasakah cities organized protest stands to demand the lifting of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people.

The participants called on the international community to lift the inhumane blockade imposed on the Syrian people, which is no less dangerous than the earthquake.

They stressed that the Syrian people were the first to help many peoples in their crises and deserve to live in goodness and peace.

In Homs city, the Director of Technical Services, Eng. Amin Al-Essa, called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to assume their role in order to lift the unjust measures and economic blockade imposed by the United States of America and some Western countries on Syria.

Majed Al-Sayed, from the Al-Naim clan in the city of Salamiyah, said: “We came to demand the lifting of the siege on Syria and its children, as it is a country of safety and security, and you will not harm it and its steadfast people.”

A number of students and citizens of Homs city expressed their dissatisfaction with the unilateral sanctions imposed on the Syrian people.

In the city of Hasaka, members of the al-Sada al-Ma’amra tribe and the social activities carried out a protest stand in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the International Red Cross (ICRC) to demand the lifting of coercive measures and an end to the unjust siege imposed on the Syrian people.

In a statement, the tribe condemned the inhumane and immoral American and Western practices against the Syrian people and called on all honorable people of the world to raise their voice in order to end this siege.

The coordinator of the Al-Sada Al-Ma’amra tribe, Dr. Ahmed Al-Drees, said that his tribe called on all activities and tribesmen to participate in rejection of the unjust siege and unilateral sanctions.

Lawyer Wael al-Afeen, Sheikh Ali al-Azel, and Muhammad Saleh al-Awda, notables of the tribe, said: “We demand the lifting of sanctions and the lifting of the siege on the Syrian people, who have been exhausted by the war, before this earthquake, which deepened the wounds and increased the pain.”
