Protests continue on the Turkish side of Cyprus against Turkish regime’s interventions

North Nicosia (ST): Protests continued on the Turkish side of Cyprus in rejection of the interference of the Turkish regime in the internal affairs of the divided island and in denunciation of the visit scheduled to be made by head of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyem Erdogan to North Cyprus next Sunday.

Media sources quoted the spokesman for the Democracy and Will Movement,  which organized the demonstrations in the northern side of Nicosia, as saying that the Turkish regime is unable to rule northern Cyprus from Ankara expressing rejection for Erdogan’s visit.

The sources added that the demonstrations are on the increase in protest against the Turkish authorities interference in the Island. The protestors shouted slogans that denounce the Turkish policy and call for the free will of the Cypriots in their country.

The Turkish army has been occupying the northern side of Cyprus since 1974 when it occupied the north part of the Island and established the so-called Turkish Cypriot Republic, the entity that has never been recognized by any state except Ankara.
