Protests continue in some Lebanese areas

Protests continued  today in some Lebanese regions, calling for accelerating the  formation of the Lebanese government, improving living conditions and  fighting corruption.

The Lebanese National News Agency said that a number of protestors closed  al-Marj, Tha’alabaya and Sa’ed Nayel roads. Other main roads in Zahleh and al-Beka’a  were also closed amid calls for a general strike tomorrow.

The Traffic Control Room said that al-Mazra’ road and Beirut International road were also closed by burning wheels.

Lebanon has been  witnessing sit-ins and demonstrations demanding for the improvement of living conditions, fighting corruption and holding corrupt officials to account since October 17.
