Protests and sit-ins continued on Sunday in a number of Lebanese regions to demand accelerating of the formation of the government, the improvement of the deteriorating living conditions , and combating corruption.
In Beirut, dozens of protesters gathered in the Riad al-Solh and Martyrs Squares , chanting slogans calling for the formation of the government and the trial of the corrupt.
Dozens of protesters also carried out a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Communications in Al-Hamra Street, chanting slogans against “Alpha” and “Touch”, the two telephone companies.
The Lebanese National Media Agency reported that dozens of protesters set out from the tents of sit-ins in Akkar, north of Lebanon, and roamed the main and side streets of Halba city , in front of Cabinet headquarters and the city’s police station, in a protest against the financial and banking policy.
In Hermel in Bekaa, the protesters organized a gathering in front of the Hermel Saray, chanting slogans calling for an end to the high fuel prices.
Lebanon has been witnessing since last October the 17th demonstrations, protests and cutting off of major roads to demand improving the living conditions , combatting corruption.
