Demonstrations and road closures were renewed today in a number of Lebanese regions to protest against the formation of the new government and to demand an improvement in the living conditions and fighting corruption.
According to the Lebanese National Media Agency, , protesters cut off traffic at the intersection of Al Koula Sports City in Beirut in both directions, while the army and security forces are working to open it.
In Tire, a demonstration took place last night in protest against the formation of the government and the high prices. The demonstrators asked the Ministry of Economy to issue a weekly or daily bulletin specifying the prices of basic food items and monitoring the exchange rate of the dollar in the city market.
Violent confrontations took place last night between protesters and the Lebanese security forces in downtown Beirut, which lasted until midnight, and resulted in a number of injuries.

In the meantime, the Israeli enemy warplanes and warships renewed today the violation of Lebanese airspace and territorial waters.
The Lebanese Army Command said in a statement that two Israeli warplanes violated Lebanese airspace from the town of Rmeish to the town of Bint Jbeil, and carried out circular flights over the areas of the south and the western Bekaa, then left towards the occupied territories.
“An Israeli gunboat violated Lebanese territorial waters opposite Ras Naqoura,” the statement added, noting that the issue of the violation is being pursued in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.
