Protest in Manbej city against the crimes of US-backed SDF militia in Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, (ST)- Locals in al-Sheyoukh village of the city of Ain al-Arab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo organized a protest in the city of Manbej demanding an end to the crimes and acts of looting and vandalism of the US-backed militia, called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), against them and against their properties and resources.

Local sources told SANA reporter that the locals protested against the aggressive practices of SDF militia which continue to seize the citizens’ properties, houses and crops and don’t allow displaced families to return to their villages.

The US-backed SDF groups responded to the protest by conducting an arrest campaign against protestors and by closing all the roads leading to the protest site, according to the sources.

SDF militia have displaced thousands of people from tens of villages in Aleppo countryside and have prevented them from returning to their homes or harvesting their crops.

Over the past months, the villages and towns of the countryside of Hasaka and Deir Ezzour have been witnessing wide-scale protests against the inhuman practices of the US-backed SDF militia who have caused a state of insecurity as a result of their crimes of kidnapping , killing and oil looting.
