A popular demonstration took place this morning in the city of Qamishli to condemn the violations of the “SDF militia”, during which the demonstrators raised banners denouncing its repressive practices and the spread of its armed groups in the city and its restrictions on citizens.
Dozens of citizens gathered in front of the Syriac Orthodox Mary Jacob Church, holding banners calling for an end to the displacement and removal of militia checkpoints in front of places of worship and between neighborhoods.
In the same context, civil sources in Qamishli said that the “SDF” militia closed the shops in the city center in conjunction with the popular protests that came out in rejection of its practices.
The “SDF” militia linked to the American occupation continues to tighten the siege on the people in the cities of Al-Hasakah and Qamishli for the thirteenth consecutive day by preventing the entry of flour, foodstuffs, medicine and water tankers, which exacerbated the humanitarian situation in light of the international silence on these violations and crimes against the people of Al-Hasakah Governorate .
In this context, the director of the bakeries branch in Al-Hasakah Abdullah Al-Hasr announced in a statement to a SANA reporter that the bakeries of Al-Hasakah and Al-Baath will continue their closure for the thirteenth consecutive day with the increasing demand for bread, especially during this blessed month, in addition to other foodstuffs.
With the delay in pumping water to the city center, the owners of private tanks confirmed that they were prevented by the militia’s armed checkpoints from bringing water to the center of Hasakah city, which exacerbated the situation, pointing out that the militia closed all secondary and main roads to tighten their siege and left some corridors to force everyone to pass through its barriers.
On the ninth of this month, the “SDF” militia stormed Al-Baath bakery in the city of Qamishli and expelled the workers, days after it seized the Social Security and Labor building in the city. It is also continuing its siege on the city center of Hasakah, preventing the entry of basic materials to it and depriving citizens of a livelihood.
