Prospects of Syrian-Iraqi joint educational cooperation discussed in Jeddah

The Minister of Education Dr. Mohammed Amer Al-Mardini discussed with his Iraqi counterpart Dr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri today the strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries on the sidelines of the General Conference of the Arab Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) at its 27th session, held in Jeddah.  Speeding up the completion of a memorandum of understanding to enhance joint educational cooperation, exchange experiences, and training and qualification of educational cadres, were among the topics for discussion.

Minister Al-Mardini highlighted the strong relations between Syria and Iraq in various fields, stressing the importance of enhancing educational cooperation through the exchange of experiences, and training and qualification of educational cadres.

The minister referred to the efforts exerted by the Syrian government to renovate schools, develop educational work and ensure education for all children.

Minister Al-Jubouri noted the historical relations between the two countries, stressing the importance of accelerating the completion of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries that enhances cooperation in various educational axes.
