Prospects of cooperation discussed in the field of oil between Syria and Venezuela

Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources, Eng. Bassam Tou’meh and the Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus, Jose Gregorio Biomorgi, on Thursday discussed prospects of cooperation between Syria and Venezuela in the field of oil, given Venezuela’s large oil reserves.
The two sides stressed the importance of raising the level of the economic relationship between the two countries to the level of the strong historical friendship that binds them.
It was agreed to hold a meeting via video conference with the Minister of Oil of the Republic of Venezuela, Tarek El-Aissami, to discuss prospects of cooperation and to develop an action plan for the next stage of joint cooperation between the two sides.
