Professor Sapag: Syria exerts massive efforts to perpetuate stability, continue reconstruction despite sanctions
The Syrian state is sparing no effort to consolidate stability in the country and continue with reconstructing what terrorism has destroyed, despite the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people by western countries, the Spanish-Chilean professor of Syrian origin Pablo Sapag has stressed, according to SANA, the Syrian Arab News Agency .
Sapag, a Professor at Complutense University of Madrid and the author of “Syria in Perspective”, said, during a dialogue meeting organized by the Syrian Embassy in Santiago in cooperation with Syrian expatriates associations in Chile, that he recently visited Syria and toured several cities and during this visit he felt the state of safety and stability that prevailed in the country.
He hailed the efforts being exerted by the state to enhance stability and continue with the reconstruction despite the western unilateral coercive measures which have caused great suffering to the Syrians.
Sapag also stressed Syria’s important role in maintaining stability of the region.
The meeting, which was attended by members of the Syrian community in Chile, was followed by a ceremony to honor Professor Sapag in recognition of his efforts in shedding light on the reality of what is happening in Syria away from what the Western media are trying to promote.
