Products of Aleppo Industrialists to be Sold in Damascus Markets

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Prime Minister Imad Khamis on Thursday met with Chairman of the Federation of the Syrian Chambers of Industry Fares al-Shehabi and members of the Aleppo Industry Chamber who participated in the 2nd Khan al-Harir fashion and textiles expo recently concluded in Damascus.

Focus during the meeting was made on challenges and obstacles facing the Syrian industry in general and the Aleppo industry in particular in the light of the government’s plan to restore the brightness of the Syrian industry and operate the wheel of production.

 The Premier asked the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry Internal Trade and Consumer Protection to open new outlets for selling the Aleppo-made products in the main shopping hubs of al-Salehiyeh and al-Hariqa in Damascus.

He also urged concerned ministries to adopt necessary procedures as to remove debris from the Industrial Area of al-Lairamoun in order to help industrialists return, operate their damaged factories and start production.
