Prisoners Affairs Commission: The international community must act to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation

On September 8th, the Palestinian PrisonersAffairs Commission called on the international community and its institutions, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross, to take immediate action to stop the crimes and violations committed by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinian prisoners.

Wafa Agency quoted the commission as saying in a statement that the incursions and torture affected the prisoners in most of the detention centers and matters are heading towards more racist, revenge escalation to cover up the catastrophic failure of the occupation after the victory scored by six Palestinian prisoners who reached freedom through a tunnel they dug in Gilboa prison.

The commission pointed out that the Palestinian prisoners in the Negev detention center are subjected to a fierce attack and criminal abuse by the occupation authorities, by handcuffing their hands and feet before attacking them, denouncing the international “shameful” silence towards these crimes.
