Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission revealed that there are many severe medical conditions among female prisoners in the “Damon” prison that need treatment in hospitals. It called on international feminist institutions and federations to put pressure on the Israeli occupation in order to release them and save their lives.
The Commission clarified in a statement on Tuesday, reported by Wafa News Agency, that the occupation authorities detain 78 female prisoners, including a some who suffer from cancer, and their health condition is very serious and in urgent need of treatment.
The Commission pointed out the poor conditions of the detainee, as there is no ventilation in the cells, very high temperatures, and deprivation of food, treatment, and personal hygiene supplies.
