Occupied al-Quds,(ST)- The Palestinian Prisoners’ Affairs Authority warned of the deterioration in the health of sick Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention camps due to a policy of deliberate medical neglect and the failure to provide them with the necessary treatment.
In a statement today reported by Wafa Agency, the commission stated that the occupation authorities continue to neglect the health condition of prisoner Youssef Abdel Rahim Skafi, 48 years old, from Hebron, who has been detained since 2004 and suffers from a weak heart, pain in the vertebrae, blood allergies and other diseases.
The commission stated that the occupation authorities intentionally do not provide the necessary medical treatments for the prisoner Skafi and do not perform the necessary examinations on him, as is the case for all sick prisoners facing systematic killing in Israeli detention facilities.
About six thousand Palestinian prisoners inside the Israeli occupation camps face harsh conditions of detention, as 1,800 prisoners suffer from multiple diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs, among them about 700 prisoners need urgent medical intervention, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paralysis.
In another development Wafa news agency reported that 80 settlers stormed Al-Aqsa from the side of the Mugrabi Gate and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards with heavy guard from the occupation forces.
The Israeli settlers carry out daily provocative incursions into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, under the protection of the occupying forces, in an attempt to impose a fait accompli regarding the Judaization and control of the Temple Mount.
