Prisoners Affairs Authority warns of the deteriorating health of the two prisoners Abu Aahour and Al-Aqraa

The Prisoners and Released Affairs Authority has warned of the deteriorating health conditions of the Palestinian prisoners Nidal Abu Aahour and Nahed Al-Aqraa, as a result of the arbitrary practices of the Israeli occupation authorities against them, particularly the deliberate medical negligence.

Wafa news agency quoted the authority as saying in a statement today that the prisoner Abu Aahour (45 years) suffers from kidney failure, a cancerous tumor in the kidneys, and problems with breathing. He needs oxygen  over a 24-hour period. He also suffers from high blood pressure and he needs extreme medical follow-up.

The statement added that the health condition of the prisoner Al-Aqraa (52 years) is one of the most difficult states in the detention centers of the occupation- where the occupation forces arrested him with one foot amputated and due to medical negligence, his other leg had gangrene and was amputated too. He is still suffering until the moment from severe pain  all over his body and from problems in his lungs. Moreover, the occupation authorities refrain from providing him with the necessary treatment.

About 4,500 Palestinian prisoners inside the occupation jails face harsh conditions of detention, as 1,800 prisoners suffer from multiple diseases due to the spread of epidemics and germs, and among them about 700 prisoners need urgent treatment, especially cases of cancer, kidney failure and paraplegia.
