Prime Minister Stressed Role of Community Initiatives in Enhancing Syrian People Steadfastness

DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Prime Minister Dr. Wael Halaqi has stressed the importance of community initiatives in supporting social solidarity, during the crisis, revitalizing humanitarian aid and healing the wounds caused by the terrorist attacks.

 This was expressed yesterday during the prime minister meeting with a delegation representing “Syrian Women for the good” group headed by Jancit Kazan, when he pointed to the participatory approach between the various components of the Syrian society and the government to strengthen Syrian people steadfastness

He explained that the global war faced by Syria launched by takfiri terrorist groups aimed from the beginning to the dismantle the Syrian social fabric, but the cohesion of this community foiled all aggressive schemes which aimed to sow sedition among the Syrian people.

The prime minister also pointed out that ‘Syrian women initiative” group is but a good evidence that the Syrian woman, being a sister, mother, daughter and the wife of the martyr during the crisis proved a role model for women worldwide in acquiring science and knowledge and sacrificing herself for the nation.

Talks dealt with the mechanisms of activating the participatory work, cooperation and coordination of civil society activists and the government to strengthen the Syrian people steadfastness.

For her part, Kazan expressed appreciation for the government efforts and its support for the Syrian civil associations and women’s community, especially the mother of the martyr, asserting that participatory efforts are true supportive elements for the family and society.

Worthy mentioning, the group includes volunteering women concerned with the provision of services, outreach and charity to Syrian people who are affected by the crisis, help the wounded, the army and the families of the martyrs and organize seminars and exhibitions to revive the national awareness.
