Prime Minister meets with Vice President of the International Bodybuilding Federation

On August 6th, Prime Minister Hussein Arnous met with Adel Fahim, Vice President of the International Federation for Bodybuilding and Physical Fitness, President of the Arab Federation, and the accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the importance of sport in the culture of peoples and the increasing importance it enjoys in public opinion throughout the world, transcending all political and geographical boundaries.

 

Arnous noted the support provided by the Syrian state to various types of sports activities and distinguished Syrian athletes locally and globally.

He welcomed holding sports tournaments in Syria, stressing the country’s willingness to host any tournament, due to the availability of necessary infrastructure.

For his part, Fahim gave an explanation about the Master of the Universe International Bodybuilding Championship, held in the Sahara Complex in the countryside of Damascus, with the participation of 200 players from 6 countries.

He pointed to the importance of holding the championship in Syria, which has faced great challenges over the past 12 years.
