DAMASCUS, (ST) _ While presiding over a cabinet meeting yesterday, Prime Minister Dr. Wael Halaqi stressed that families of the martyrs will be given permanent attention and care, under the guidance of President Bashar al-Assad, adding that the government is committed to meet obligations entitled to martyrs, according to Decree 43 of 1980, and its amendments on rendering services to martyrs families.
He pointed out that the government will complete the organizational, administrative and legal structure of the Martyrs Foundation and is securing material support and psychological rehabilitation of the war-wounded victims, especially among the army.
He stressed the government’s efforts to ensure means of the steadfastness for the Syrian people and the flow of goods in the markets at appropriate quantities and prices, pointing out that the government has a vision to activate agricultural, industrial and commercial production processes and the development of all sectors.
Meantime, deputy premier and foreign affairs and expatriates minister Walid al-Moallem gave an overview of the political situation on the international arena.
Minister of state for national reconciliation, Dr. Ali Haider gave a presentation on the proposed mechanism for the promotion and development of national reconciliation processes in various areas, in the course of the ministry assigned activities.
The cabinet ministers discussed services and economic issues listed on the meeting agenda, and took appropriate decisions concerning them.
