DAMASCUS, (ST)_Prime Minister, Hussein Arnous, stressed the importance of enhancing Syrian-Pakistani relations and cooperation between the two countries in the common the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
Arnous’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Saeed Mohammad Khan.
The premier asserted that Syria is ready to push bilateral relations forwards in various fields, particularly in the business sector, pointing out to the historic and fraternal relations between the two countries, according to the Syrian News Agency ( SANA).
He added: “Syria thanks and appreciates the government and people of Pakistan for the support to Syria at international forums and their stand by the Syrian people in the fight against terrorism and the illegal economic blockade imposed on the country.”
For his part, the Pakistani ambassador stressed the continuity of his country’s support for Syria in various fields, particularly in the humanitarian and relief ones in the light of the unjust economic blockade.
Ambassador Muhammad Khan declared that Pakistan looks forward to enhancing bilateral relations with Syria in various fields, including economy, culture, media, transportation and health.
