Prime Minister Arnous inaugurates the building of the Directorate of Finance in Baniyas and Al-Kindi Hospital, and the Al-Ghamma pumping stations in Tartous city

On July 4th, Prime Minister, Engineer Hussein Arnous inaugurated the building of the Directorate of Finance in Baniyas, Al KindiHospital, the Ghamqa and Al-A’agmi pumping stations in the governorate of Tartous.

Director of Finance in Tartous Muhammad Atfa said that the building consists of a basement, a ground floor and five floors, with a floor area of about 900 square meters, and the area of the general site is 1,773 square meters, at a cost of 2.5 billion Syrian pounds.

Atfa pointed out that the building includes a branch of the Commercial Bank of Syria in Baniyas and the one-window Department.

 

The government delegation was also briefed on the progress of work in the implementation of the industrial zone project in the city of Baniyas.

Engineer Arnous directed the Baniyas City Council to take advantage of the alternative energies to operate the industrial zone, and said that the government will support these projects with soft loans.

Head of the Technical Department of Baniyas City Council, Eng. Osama Mihoub stated that the industrial zone includes 350 partitions, all of which are allocated to craftsmen, with a completion rate of about 70 percent.

The government delegation completed its tour and reviewed the manufacturing site of the commercial ship Noor in the town of Sheikh Saad on the outskirts of Tartous.

The Prime Minister was briefed to a detailed explanation from its owner, Hussam Abu Al-Nasr and his sons, about the stages of completion and difficulties to provide the necessary support for the return of the prosperity of this old industry.

Engineer Arnous inaugurated the Al-KindiHospital in Tartous, owned by the private sector. The hospital consists of two basements, each basement with an area of 1,000 square meters and 11 floors, the first four with an area of 750 square meters for each floor and the remaining seven 470 square meters for the floor.

Engineer Arnous also put the Ghamqa and Al-A’agmi pumping stations into service. The objective of the project is to collect sewage from the southern section of the city of Tartous and deliver it to the Al-A’agmipumping site, to then reach the central Tartoustreatment plant, which is implemented by the Iranian Merab Company.

The station serves 35 percent of the sewage of the city of Tartous. Sanitary Department Director, Engineer Mansour Mansour, stated that the station includes the entire Tartoussystem from the Ghamka River, to the Al-A’agmi pumping station and aims to solve the sewage problem as an emergency solution.
