Prime Minister agrees on the Economic Committee’s recommendations on buying lentils, chickpeas and beans crops from farmers

Prime Minister Hussein Arnous has agreed on the recommendations of the Economic committee which call on the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform and the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection – Syria Trading –  to buy the lentils, chickpeas and beans crops from farmers.

The recommendations included granting rewards from the Agricultural Production Support Fund to the farmers who hand over their crops of these agricultural products to “Syrian Trading”.

The step comes within the framework of the government’s policy o encouraging the cultivation of these crops as to achieve self-sufficiency of these products which are of great nutrition benefit.
