Presidents Al-Assad , Putin Discuss Developments Relating to Terrorism Fighting, Political Settlement in Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad and His Russian Counterpart Vladimir Putin on Wednesday discussed the latest developments relating the fight against terrorism and the political efforts exerted to solve the crisis in Syria.

During a phone conversation, Putin affirmed Russia’s firm stance on Syria based on fighting terrorism and maintaining Syria’s territorial integrity.

 President Al-Assad thanked  President Putin for his countries efforts at the international arena despite the pressure put on Moscow by some countries to force it change its stances.

President Al-Assad affirmed Syria’s determination to fight terrorism in parallel with efforts to attain national reconciliation and seek activating the political track to solve the crisis in Syria.
