President Rouhani Strongly Condemns Paris Terrorist Attacks

President Hassan Rouhani strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Paris which claimed lives of over 120 civilians.

In a message to his French counterpart Francois Hollande on Saturday, the Iranian President condemned the terrorist attacks in Paris which claimed heavy casualties.

The president blasted the incident in the name of the Iranian people.

President Rouhani said the death of many civilians in the terrorist attacks caused deep grief for the Iranian people.

He said he strongly condemned the incident on behalf of the Iranian nation who are victims of the evil phenomenon of terrorism.

The President further underlined the need for global efforts to fight all terrorist groups.

A string of coordinated attacks in and around the French capital of Paris left at least 120 people dead and some 200 others injured; a state of emergency is declared in the European country shaken by the horrific attacks.

Human tragedy in Paris indicates threat terrorism poses to all, says Boroujerdi

Meanwhile, Head of Majlis (parliament) national security and foreign policy commission Aladdin Boroujerdi said in a message to his French counterpart Elizabeth Guigou that the human tragedy in Paris indicated the threat terrorism posed to the international community.

Boroujerdi said that Friday night terror attacks showed the magnitude of the threats posed by terrorists and extremists groups to the world peace and sustainable security.

Boroujerdi in his condolence message for Chairperson of Foreign Affairs Committee of French National Assembly Elizabeth Guigou said that unfortunately we heard about sad news on killing and injuring of tens of your compatriots in a terrorist blasts and indiscriminate shootings.

Boroujerdi expressed condolences to his French counterpart and sympathized with the families who lost their loved ones.

He prayed for salvation of the departed souls, patience for the families and immediate recovery of the wounded.

He emphasized the necessity of firm and collective campaign of the international community against such ominous phenomenon of terrorism.

On Friday late evening shootings and blasts occurred in five districts of Paris which left at least 127 dead and more than 180 wounded.

ISIL claimed responsibility for the carnage.
