President Rouhani Stresses Development as Main Goal of His Government

Tehran – President Hassan Rouhani stressed the need for mobilization of efforts for the development of the country.

Addressing a gathering on the National Day of Villages and Tribal People here on Saturday, he said everyone should focus on solving such problems as unemployment especially for young women.

He said his cabinet has taken many steps towards rural areas development while being aware that it still has a long way to go.

He further highlighted the importance of safeguarding soil, water, forests, pastures, rivers and water creatures for rural people and urged proper use of water resources during the present time while the country is suffering from shortage of water.

 

Pointing to many plans underway to manage water resources, the President said the government will open another six dams this year in addition to the four ones already inaugurated.
