DAMASCUS, (ST)_ H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad performed afternoon Prayer at Al-Afram Mosque in Damascus Thursday.

President Al-Assad’s prayer came as the Syrians and Moslems worldwide celebrate Prophet Muhammad’s (Peace be upon Him and His Family) birthday.

Minister of Religious Affairs (Awqaf), Dr. Mohammad Abdulsatar Al-Sayyed, delivered the Prayer ceremony, asserting the noble and sublime meanings and messages of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HF) birthday, as the Messenger of Islam, the religion of Justice, Morals, Fraternity, Amity and Equity.

Dr. Al-Sayyed underscored that the Religion of Islam prohibits killing, sabotage and explosions; hence Islam is but the religion of noble and good Morals and Dialogue, asserting that Syria is but to vanquish, pointing out to  the importance of the dialogue, and partnership among all honest Syrians.

Minister Al-Sayyed urged for seizing the opportunity of dialogue provided for all honest Syrians to dialogue and build Syria.

At the conclusion of the Prayer, President Al-Assad exchanged felicitation and shook hands with tens of the Syrians inside the Mosque.
