President Assad Receives Congratulations from Armenia President on Winning Elections

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al-Assad has received a cable of congratulations from the President of the Republic of Armenia Serge Sarkisian on the occasion of winning the presidential elections.

President Sarkisian expressed hope that Syria will be able to restore security and stability for achieving prosperity of the Syrian people.

He also expressed best wishes of success to President al-Assad, coupled with lasting peace for the Syrian people.

President al-Assad also received other cables of congratulations from Arab and international figures and organizations on the occasion of winning the presidential elections.

Senders of the cables expressed congratulations for Syrian people and the collective will in electing President al-Assad through a free and democratic process in order to take responsibility to meet the challenges that Syria has been experiencing.

The senders of the cables also expressed conviction that under the leadership of President Assad, Syria will enjoy a peaceful and stable future.

The cables came from the Executive Committee of the International Academy of Mihai Aaminescu Foundation, the European Aaminescu Mihai of Romania, the Afghan people Unity Party, the General Staff of the Palestinian Liberation Army and the Sudanese Association of graduates of Syrian universities and institutes.
