President Assad: Our Battle with Terrorism is Matter of Fate, Existence
DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al-Assad, the army and armed forces commander in chief extended a message through al-Shaab (people’s) magazine to the brave men of the armed forces on the occasion of the army 69th founding anniversary.
The message conveyed greetings of pride, love and appreciation to the brave men of our armed forces as they continue sacrificing themselves in defense of our dear country, Syria.
“I am pleased to extend to you best wishes and warmest congratulations on the occasion of the Syrian Army 69th founding anniversary, which confirmed since its inception that it is the nation ‘s invincible Fort, protector of its rights and defender of pride and dignity,” the message stressed.
“Our battle with terrorism is a battle of existence and fate, where there is no room for bargaining |, the message said, adding “, we are determined more than ever to withstand terrorists schemes of discord and division targeting Syria and the whole region to serve the ambitions of the Zionist enemy, the biggest beneficiary of what is happening of chaos and terror.
The President vowed not to compromise on our causes and rights nor to deviate our principles, regardless plots that will only make us stronger and more solid.
“I greet you on the occasion of your glorious day and appreciate highly your efforts in fulfilling your noble and most precious national duty, entrusted in you to protect the homeland’s security and ensure the future of its people,” the message read, extending tributes to the martyrs and their families who bear burden and difficulties and to our steadfast citizens.
