President Al-Sharaa visits the Saudi SDAIA headquarters

President Ahmed Al-Sharaa and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Al-Shibani, and the accompanying delegation, yesterday evening, visited the headquarters of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) yesterday evening, as part of his current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that President Al-Sharaa visited the technical facilities of SDAIA related to the field of data and artificial intelligence, and listened to a briefing from the Chairman of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority, Dr. Abdullah Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, on the Kingdom’s efforts in this field.

The Kingdom’s efforts in this field come within the framework of the “Saudi Vision 2030” to build a national economy based on data, and to make the Kingdom a global center in the region for artificial intelligence technologies, and to achieve optimal benefit from these technologies, to support government agencies in facilitating access to services for citizens, residents, pilgrims and Umrah performers.

Presentations on the Saudi digital economy system, the National Cybersecurity Authority, and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, were screened.

Upon his arrival at SDAIA, President Al-Sharaa and the accompanying delegation were received by the Saudi Minister of State, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Cybersecurity Authority, Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha, in addition to Dr. Al-Ghamdi, Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority Eng. Majid bin Mohammed Al-Mazyad, Governor of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority Mr. Suhail bin Mohammed Abanmi, and a number of Saudi officials.
