President al-Sharaa Receives an  Official Invitation to Attend the Arab Summit in Baghdad

President Ahmad al-Sharaa received on Sunday an official invitation to attend the Arab Summit, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad on the 17th of next month, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The invitation was delivered to President al-Sharaa by the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Ahmed Fakkak al-Badrani.

In a statement reported by the agency, al-Badrani said, “Following a directive from President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, we delivered the invitation to President al-Sharaa to attend the Arab Summit on the 17th of next month in Baghdad.”

He confirmed that the summit will discuss the challenges facing the Arab nation.

Additionally, al-Badrani mentioned that during his visit to Damascus, he met with the Syrian Minister of Culture, Mohammad Yaseen Saleh, where they discussed strengthening cultural cooperation between the two countries.

Saleh stated, “Iraq and Syria share a civilization that spans thousands of years and are brothers bound by the same land. Artificial borders will not divide us; we are one people sharing many qualities.”

“We are open to cooperation and collaboration with Iraq in various fields, and we are moving towards a shared cultural life.” He added
