President Al-Assad Urges Restoring Normal Life, Activating Economic Movement in Downtown Homs Soon

HOMS- (ST)- President Bashar Al-Assad has issued directives to concerned officials in the government to spare no effort to restore normal life and activate economic movement in downtown Homs as soon as possible, stressed Homs Governor Talal Barazi.

Homs old city has suffered for more than a year and a half from the hate-fueled Wahabi mentality of the terrorist groups wreaking havoc in Syria. A recent ceasefire agreement between the Syrian army and gunmen in Homs old city has ended this suffering and led the gunmen to leave the city to northern areas.

Maintenance work teams began removing the rubble and sand barriers from old Homs districts and started planting roses as the people of the city, who were displaced from the city by the armed groups, returned to check their properties.

Earlier, Homs Governor called for facilitating procedures for the people who want to check their properties or get some of their possessions out of their houses.

He urged people to be cautious and tell competent authorities when they find strange objects in their houses.
