President Al-Assad to teachers: We need to bring up a generation that faces challenges and has active initiatives

DAMASCUS, March.17, (ST)-On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, President Bashar Al-Assad met on Thursday teachers, who have 20-year experience and are distinguished in developing curriculums, and a group of administrative and scientific cadres in educational sector from all Syrian provinces.

The president talked  during the meeting about a number of political, educational, national and intellectual issues, affirming that science without ethics causes damage, and science without patriotism, causes the destruction of the homeland, so the teacher should not be only as an instructor but  also  educator through knowledge and role model.

The President in addition stressed the need to bring up a generation that faces challenges and  has active initiatives to search for solutions and not await for them…A generation that  seeks to change the situation and not to surrender to disappointments …A generation that controls the modern technologies and use them for their service and interests.

President al-Assad pointed out to the need for a graduate that belongs to the homeland, who considers himself as part of all, not to consider himself as all, to make use of the others, not at the expense of others, enthusiastic who knows the meaning of giving, not selfish, ready to sacrifice for the sake of homeland, not to sacrifice the homeland or the people for the sake of his own interests.
