President Al-Assad to President Putin: Our joint war on terrorism and cross-border extremism will continue
Damascus – President Bashar Al-Assad on Saturday sent a cable of condolences to President Vladimir Putin over victims of the terrorist attack to that hit a mall near Moscow yesterday evening.
“We express our sorrow over the victims of the terrorist attack that targeted one of the malls in Moscow suburbs and voice our deepest condolences for the families of the victims,” President Al-Assad said in the cable.
“This cowardly attack that targeted innocent civilians indicates the complete failure in making the Russian people give up their principles and their adherence to the sovereignty, independent decision of their country. It comes as a direct result of the painful defeats of Neo Nazism and its supporters in the Russian military operation in Donbas,” President Al-Assad explained.
“We condemn this savage act and all the terrorist acts in any part of the world and we confirm our determination to continue our joint war on terrorism and cross-border extremism,” the president affirmed, concluding by offering his deepest condolences to President Putin and wishing speedy recovery for the injured.
