President Al-Assad to President Maduro: Defeating terrorism is the main challenge to foil the plots of the American West

President Bashar Al-Assad on Monday received a phone call from President Nicolas Maduro of Venezuela during which Maduro stressed that Venezuela, as government and people, supports Syria in confrontation of terrorism and its sponsors.

He affirmed that the American West seeks to weaken Syria and its key position in the region through its national sovereignty and independent decsion.

President Al-Assad asserted that the destiny of independent peoples is to confront the American West’s schemes against them, and that confronting and defeating terrorism is the most important challenge to foil those schemes.
