President Al-Assad to Egger: The Syrian government is keen to deliver aid to all areas affected by the earthquake

President Bashar Al-Assad on Tuesday received Mirjana Egger, President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
During the meeting, Egger said that the Red Cross is working to provide the Syrian people with basic needs and everything necessary to help them overcome the difficult situation they are exposed to due to the earthquake.
Egger indicated that the organization is working to mobilize efforts to expand the scope of its humanitarian operations throughout the Syrian territory, and the ICRC appreciates the cooperation shown by the Syrian government and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in this regard.
For his part, President Al-Assad renewed the Syrian government’s keenness to bring relief aid into all areas affected by the earthquake, pointing out that it is important, when dealing with the humanitarian situation in Syria, to pay attention to the infrastructure and other sectors such as health and communications because they integrate with each other and directly affect the humanitarian and living conditions of the Syrians.
